Description

Despite the lack of energy, I was persuaded to press on. There would never be another opportunity like this.

We stayed.

As soon as there were a handful of stars we started shooting, but the amount of light still remaining in the sky from the setting sun (now an hour after sunset) and the rising moon required a lot of tinkering with my usual night sky camera settings. It was problematic and took some time to resolve (or so I hope!).

Low tide was over and the waves were beginning to encroach on our once dry sand. As more time passed, We began to get anxious that we might miss our opportunity to get passed the pinch point we still needed to cross.. Jeff assured me, that we had plenty of time, reasoning that earlier we had passed through it 2 hours prior to low tide… certainly we could pass through it as much as 2 hours after low tide?

We both knew that he knows nothing about tides! We both knew that his reasoning could be absolutely erroneous. We both knew that we did not want to wade out in the dark fighting waves…
